His Touch

This is perhaps one of the most supernatural and misunderstood aspects of communication God uses to express His character.

From the beginning, God has been shouting that He loves us and wants to be near to us. Tragically, we chose pride and sin over Him in the garden and separated ourselves from our Maker. Our forms became unclean and unable to withstand the fullness of His glory and righteousness.

However, this was not the end of the story.

He remade us in the blood of His Son. Now we are the righteousness of Christ and thus perfectly acceptable temples to house His Presence and Glory.

And make no mistake, it is our destiny to be temples of the Living God.

This is not to say God wants to overwhelm you with His power and remove free will. Quite the opposite, He wants to be chosen and trusted so implicitly that you are open to physical experiences that can be outside your comfort zone. Just say yes to His presence and ask Him to come fill you.

This can result in all sorts of experiences that do not validate the reality of His presence, but do communicate love to you in a specific and necessary way.

Some people cry deeply, some laugh. Some feel electricity running up their spine, some warmth in their hands. Some feel a heavy weight that bares them to the ground, some feel extremely light on their feet.

The stories and possibilities are immensely varied and all valid as long as they point us back to Christ and God’s Goodness.

So say yes to His presence, it is a gift to comfort you. He wants to hold you close and express His love to you in physical ways.
